AT&T and CFNS Partner to Provide 200 Refurbished Laptops to Students in Need

AT&T, Camp Fire North Shore Provide 200 Laptops to Salem/Lynn Students as part of its Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® Campaign

AT&T and Camp Fire North Shore provided 200 refurbished laptops today to Salem and Lynn students in need. The laptops were made possible through an AT&T investment in support of Camp Fire’s Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® annual holiday—a broader national movement that encourages adults to take a meaningful moment and tell a young person just how incredible they are.

The computers were distributed to students during a family event at Camp Fire North Shore’s Salem location. Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo and Lynn Superintendent of Schools Molly Cohen attended the event and helped hand out the devices.

"We are thrilled and excited to work with AT&T on such an important project. Equipping families with laptops promotes equal opportunities for learning and connection, bridging the digital divide and empowering every household to thrive in a technology driven world." said Laurie Hamill, CEO of Camp Fire North Shore.

Founded by Camp Fire in 1997, Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® is celebrated each year on the third Thursday in March as a nationwide tradition that inspires millions of adults to tell a child or teen in their life “you matter,” reinforcing that they are seen, supported, and cared for. This year, AT&T collaborated with Camp Fire to provide 2,500 laptops for students nationwide through this initiative. Additionally, 25 students previously received laptops through Camp Fire’s #KidDay contest.

"At AT&T, we believe connection opens doors to opportunity," said Mylayna Albright, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, AT&T. "By collaborating with Camp Fire on #KidDay, we're combining meaningful human connection with access to technology, helping young people build confidence, curiosity, and the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world."

This effort is part of AT&T’s initiative to help address the digital divide through internet accessibility, affordability and safe adoption. AT&T is committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030. This includes distributing thousands of computers to students and their families across Massachusetts since 2021. AT&T will distribute 30,000 laptops nationwide in 2026.
