Camp Waluta is our traditional Summer Camp program that serves school-age youth, age five - entering 4th grade.  This program is designed to provide opportunities for campers to explore safe and fun outdoor camp activities, all under the guidance of qualified specialists and counselors in a low  5:1 camper to staff ratio.

Children in Camp Waluta are placed into groups with children of the same age for each session.  Each group is led by a team of  reference and background checked counselors including two Senior Counselors and a C.I.T.  Our low camper to staff ratio gives each child the individual attention they need to make friends, participate in new activities and have fun, while still allowing room for self-expression.  Campers will stay with their group for the duration of the week and rotate throughout the specialty activity areas on a daily basis with their group. Activity areas are instructed by our college-aged staff, many of whom are currently pursuing degrees in Education or related fields. Specialists are assigned to an activity area and focus their planning to coordinate with weekly themes.

*Camp Waluta's outdoor pool is watched over by two full time lifeguards and is supervised by the team of counselors from each group participating in Swim.  The pool measures 2 - 4.5 feet in depth, and is roped off according to swimmer's abilities.  All youth participate in swim lessons as a part of their daily schedule.  Swim lessons are considered a prerequisite to free swim periods in the afternoon.

Basic day camp hours are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.  

Both pre-camp (7:00am - 9:00am) and post camp (4:00pm-5:30pm) are available for an additional cost.

If you are registering two or more children, please complete the registration for your oldest child first and then add the younger childThis will allow you to access the sibling discount rate. Please note the sibling discount rate is only applied when the children are registered for the SAME week(s) of camp. 
                                                     

Deposits:

Waluta, Discovery & Adventure Camps
A $25.00 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit for each weekly session is due along with your registration and registration fee.
CIT Program
A $75 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is due for the CIT program along with your registration and registration fee. 

Additional Fees:

Annual Registration Fee:   $20.00/child or $30.00/family
Pre-Camp Care:   $25.00/week  (as early as 7:00 am)                                                            
Post-Camp Care:  $25.00/week (as late as 5:30 pm)
T-Shirt fee of $10.00 per child registered for Adventure or Discovery camp is due in addition to your first weekly payment. T-Shirts will be required for the weekly field trips. The T-Shirt fee is only assessed for the first week of camp activity, and can be used for the duration of the summer.

Meals

Camp Fire North Shore's Summer Camp participates in the USDA Summer Food Service program.  We provide a healthy breakfast, lunch and milk to all children 18 years and under, free of charge, regardless of family income.  A monthly calendar of meals will be posted on the parent information board located inside the Pavilion.  Meals can also be brought from home in an insulated bag.  Snack and extra beverages are encouraged.  Water is always available. * Breakfast will be served daily from 7:30 am to 8:30 am *

Registration

We have a NEW ONLINE REGISTRATION system this year. Each family must set up an account in order to register your child(ren) for summer camp. The same system will be available for families participating in our Before & After School programming during the 2018-2019 School Year. You will only need to enter your family information once, during your initial account set up.               

If you are unable to complete your registration online, please call the office at 978-745-7200 or stop by to get assistance. We will have a computer station available for families without access to a computer and/or internet service. 

Please note that online registration for summer camp will be accepted until 12 pm on the Friday before the program starts.  After 12 pm on Friday, in order to register for a program that starts the following Monday, you must register in the Camp Fire North Shore main office.  The office opens at 9 am Monday morning.  Please remember to bring a copy of your child’s physical with immunization record.
